Gros (Silver, 16 mm, 0.80 g, 5 h). +ΓNb / ДЕСПОТЬ / TbГЮP/bΓb ('Lord Despot Djuradj' in Serbian) Lion rampant to left within dotted circle; below lion, small five-pointed star. Rev. Christ, nimbate, seated facing on decorated throne, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left; in fields to left and right, IC - XC. Jovanovic, SMC 2014, p. 223, 42-12.1. Rare. Nicely toned. Minor areas of weakness and with a few scratches, otherwise, very fine.


The lion rampant was the coat of arms of the Branković family.
